CULINARY FIESTA

The Mayor's Annual Culinary Fiesta was held on Sunday April 20th at the Town Hall Grounds. Catering establishments from throughout the southern borough displayed a variety of dishes for patrons to feast from. Special entertainment was provided by David Bereaux & Friends along with a fashion display by the contestants in the upcoming Miss Point Fortin Beauty Pageant. The event was hosted by Damian Melville and Jillian Smith.

THE BOROUGH QUEENS

The young ladies vying to become Miss Point Fortin 2008 paraded through the streets of the Borough on Friday 18th April before introducing themselves to the large audience gathered at the Victor Chin Kit Park for the official Borough Day Launch

JOB & TRAINING EXPO

The Rotary Club of Point Fortin held its annual Job & Training expo at the South West Regional Indoor Facility (Coronation Park) on Thursday April 17th.

Various Institutions participated while students from schools in the area visited to gain some knowledge of existing employment opportunities an acquiring the necessary required training/education .
