The young ladies vying to become Miss Point Fortin 2008 paraded through the streets of the Borough on Friday 18th April before introducing themselves to the large audience gathered at the Victor Chin Kit Park for the official Borough Day Launch

FARMER'S MARKET

The official launch took place at the Victor Chin Kit Park on Friday April 18th.  There, His Worship, The Mayor, Alderman Victor Mitchell formally declared the festival's kick off. 

Preceding the official launch, A Farmer's Market was opened at the Borough Car Park.

JOB & TRAINING EXPO

The Rotary Club of Point Fortin held its annual Job & Training expo at the South West Regional Indoor Facility (Coronation Park) on Thursday April 17th.

Various Institutions participated while students from schools in the area visited to gain some knowledge of existing employment opportunities an acquiring the necessary required training/education .
